My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Spunky!

Spunky originally became a Frosted Face in July 2022 after we rescued him from the San Diego Humane Society. Not along after he arrived, Spunky was adopted through our Seniors for Seniors Program. Sadly, his adopter recently became unable to care for Spunky, and he is back with us, once again looking for a loving home where he can spend his golden years. Spunky is 12 years old and weighs 19 lbs. He is very sweet, laid-back, and quiet.

Thankfully, after Spunky returned, a loving Foster Family opened their hearts and home and have been giving him the extra TLC he needs. His Foster Mom shared this great update:

"Spunky is the easiest dog. He just does his thing and keeps to himself. He does fine when I bring him on the couch to hang out. I think he prefers to just curl up on a soft bed. He lives to eat and enjoys little snacks between meals!

Spunky is blind and deaf and will need a patient family while he adjusts to his new surroundings. He does startle easy, so a little tap on his side lets him know you are there. Spunky recently stayed with another Foster Mom while I was out of town, and he seemed to adjust fine to the change in environment.

Spunky is doesn't move too fast. He is content walking around the dog run in my yard. He also likes to cruise around the kitchen. Going on walks can be stressful for him, so I don't force that since he likes the yard.

Spunky is fine with my other dogs. He doesn't really pay attention to them. He doesn't bark.

Spunky usually eats in the kitchen. Other dogs don't bother him, however, I make sure the other dogs don't try to steal his food. He lives to eat and licks his bowl and the floor clean!

Spunky whines when he has to go potty. He is up and ready to do his business first thing in the morning!

Spunky is looking for a furever home with a comfy place to lay his head! He is such a good boy! He enjoys wondering around and then finds a nice place to nap.

If you are looking for a pretty chill dog that just wants to be loved... Spunky is the one for you!"

Spunky is doing great in his foster home, but he still needs a forever family of his own. Might that be you?
