Meet Spunky!

Spunky originally became a Frosted Face in July 2022 after we rescued him from the San Diego Humane Society. Not along after he arrived, Spunky was adopted through our Seniors for Seniors Program. Sadly, his adopter's health declined, and he is back with us, once again looking for a loving home where he can spend his golden years. Spunky is 13 years old and weighs 19 lbs. He is a very sweet, laid-back, and quiet boy.

Thankfully, after Spunky returned, a loving Foster Family opened their hearts and home and have been giving him the extra TLC he needs. His Foster Mom shared this great update:

"Spunky is a great little pup. His favorite things to do are sleep and chew on great treats from Redbarn (luckily, his foster mom has a whole closet full)!! Spunky also like curling up with my other little dogs on the couch.

When Spunky is not sleeping or eating, he enjoys cruising around the kitchen or dog run! He is quiet and easy-going. When he wakes up from a nap, he will give a little whine to let you know he has to potty.

Spunky is blind and deaf, so a little tap on his side lets him know you are there. He recently stayed with another Foster Mom while I was out of town, and he seemed to adjust fine to the change in environment.

Spunky tolerates baths, and he gets them regularly to keep his skin nice and clean. I am even able to trim his nails!

If you are looking for a pretty chill dog that just wants to be loved... Spunky is the one for you!"

We require that interested applicants fill out our application. A screener follows up via email to schedule a home inspection, meanwhile calling references.

Upon approval, it is required you come to Frosted Faces Foundation with all members of the family and your dogs to choose a Frosted Face.
