He is a SUPER sweet puppy who has not have the training and care he deserves. He is good with children, just a bit hyper. He has shown no aggression towards other animals or at all. He is a big chewer right now but is learning his boundaries. In the first 4 days I've had him I taught him how to sit, go into his kennel and the word "No". He is a work in progress and is very teachable. He is skiddish at times, but I believe that is from the improper training and care. He seems super smart and would make the perfect "mans best friend" with the proper loving and care. The only negative that I can report is that he is very curious and like the chew. But that is a train that he can be trained to stop doing. He is going to be a BIG baby, and I promise he will steal your heart like he already has mine.

Additional adoption info
To confirm an animal's location, please call the shelter 409-833-0504 to ask if an animal is at the shelter or in foster care. We work really hard to ensure each pet goes into a home that is the best fit for them and the new family. This is why a session with a Matchmaker is required. Adoptions are on a first approved basis.

Originally formed as the Humane Educational Council of Southeast Texas in 1962, the primary focus was to educate the public on animal care and compassion. In 1981, our name changed to Humane Society of Southeast Texas (HSSET) but our goals and values remain the same. HSSET is devoted to building a better community for both pets and people through education programs and setting a new standard for companion animal care.
The HSSET is a non-profit, 501(c)3 charitable organization run entirely on grants, donor contributions, community volunteers, and a lot of love.
Our shelter is a limited intake no-kill facility serving not only the City of Beaumont, but the entire Southeast Texas region.
