Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ferris (about 1 and a half years old as of February 2024) is a spayed female light brown tabby. Ferris and her 5 siblings were born to a friendly stray cat in Waukegan, but because mama was homeless at the time she had her kittens and they didn't have any contact with people, so they were growing up feral before they were caught at about 2 months old and it took a lot of work to tame them enough to be housepets. Ferris is very happy and comfortable living inside but is still pretty stand-offish with humans when it comes to direct contact- she prefers to get most of her cuddling in with other cats like her sister Cam. One thing she always appreciates is a nice treat and she'll happilly accept some pets while she's being bribed. Unfortunately she's still not very good with being picked up and handled but we hope that in a home with more time to work with her (with bribes, of course!) she might be able to improve more. Because she is more shy we don't think she'd be good for a house with a rowdy dog or little kids, but she is great with other cats. She'd definitely be happiest in a multiple cat household, preferably with her best friend, her sister Cam.
