My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ryan - Domestic Shorthair, Born May 2023, Orange & White Tabby, Neutered Male

Hi, I’m Ryan! Ruby and I have been searching for our forever home for over 300 days, and we're hoping today is the day we find it!

Ruby is a sweet, budding lap cat with a heart full of potential. She’s learning to enjoy cuddle time and shows her affection through playful antics. She loves lounging in our former foster mom’s lap, giving you a sneak peek at the loving companion she’s destined to be!

As for me, I’m a clever and spirited kitty with a curious nature. I love exploring, testing my boundaries, and engaging in clicker training and treat puzzles. I thrive on learning new things and keep life interesting with my adventurous spirit.

Both Ruby and I are smart and eager to learn. We adore other cats and would likely get along well with dogs too! What we need most is a patient person or family who will give us the time and space to grow into our full potential. While we might show some uncertainty at first (we might swat if we’re scared), our affectionate sides will shine through as we settle into a loving home.

If you’re ready to offer us understanding and patience, Ruby and I could be the perfect additions to your family. With the right support, we have the potential to become wonderful companions. We’d love for you to meet us and see if you’re the special person we’ve been waiting for!

Ryan and I are a bonded pair and must be adopted together!

Our fees include a full medical exam by a veterinarian. This includes a Feline Leukemia and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) test for cats, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, deworming and Spay/Neuter. Dogs receive a Heartworm Check, Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, Canine Flu Vaccine, deworming, and Kennel Cough preventative. Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference. Any ongoing medical needs that C.A.R.E. is aware of are explained fully, (including daily medicine costs), to the potential adopter, and become the responsibility of the adopter.
