My name is Izzy and I am one gorgeous pup. I have a lot of energy and would love to have a fenced in yard to exercise in. I can jump a short fence so a 6 foot fence would be ideal. Long walks on a leash is also a great way for me to exercise if a fence is not an option. I am good with kids and all people but I can be a bit aggressive towards other pets so I would do best in a home with no other animals. I would not be a good fit for someone who wants a social pet with other dogs. I am crate trained and house trained and I do pretty well on a leash with a halter. I am active and goofy girl and deep down I just want to have fun. Our shelter is full of wonderful cats and dogs just waiting for you to come and take them home. Our adoption requirements are that you must provide a loving home and all your current animals are spayed or neutered. We begin the adoption process with an adoption application. Our adoption fees are: Adult Cats $65, Kittens $85, Adult Dogs $105, and Puppies $150. All animals are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccines, on flea prevention, have been heartworm/ feline leukemia/ FIV tested and are micro-chipped.

More about this shelter

Our mission is to provide temporary shelter, care and medical attention for stray, surrendered or otherwise homeless cats and dogs in Blackford County, to prevent animal cruelty and neglect and prosecute offenders, to strengthen the human-animal bond through education and adoption, and to promote the importance of spaying and neutering to help control the pet population.

We are very rescue friendly and are grateful to the rescues in their efforts to help us with our animals. We do require a signed contract with the rescues we work with.
