Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Adopt Jake Eric, a sweet yorkie/terrier mix who is about 10 years old and 5.5 pounds. He was rescued off the streets of Houston by a kind Samaritan. Jake Eric is dog friendly and sleeps through the night with the other small senior dogs in his foster home. If he is let out on a regular schedule, Jake Eric happily does his business outside. He will also let you know by going to the door that he wants to go out. Once he is done with his business, he loves to sit with his face towards the warmth of the sun. Jake Eric loves treats and is excellent on leash.
Jake Eric's right eye was about to rupture, most likely due to severe dry eye, so it had to be removed. At the same time a tear production implant was placed in his left eye. He had a dental, during which it was found some teeth were missing and others needed to be removed. He still has plenty of teeth left to gobble down his food.
His vision is limited but that does not stop him from getting around. He does bark if he gets confused but quiets down when he is picked up and snuggled for a bit. He gives the sweetest kisses.
If you can provide Jake Eric a loving forever home, please apply to adopt at https://www.camorescue.com/adopt
Adoption fee is: $150.00
ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.
Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.
Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.

More about this rescue
CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
