Dancer is being treated for severe laminitis; her ankles are rolled out and her hooves have to grow before they can be properly shaped; she takes supplements for hoof growth; she needs low-starch fortified forage to supplement her hay as well as special grain. She needs a pasture without mud and easy access to food, water, and shelter without walking far distances.

DonkeyandHorseRescue.org is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization operated by Donkey and Equine Haven USA. We are volunteer operated and dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of abused, neglected and abandoned equine animals. It is also our mission to educate the public about the joy of owning these animals and how to properly care for them. Our rescue focuses on equine animals including donkeys, mules and horses.

Our rescue property is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of the animals. Our operators and volunteers work tirelessly to save the animals from some of the worst conditions imaginable including those headed to slaughter. Once arriving at our rescue animals are given proper medical treatment, nutrition, supplements, rehabilitation and the love they need to live a long, happy and healthy life and eventually become adoptable.
