My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:


Jack is 3YO affectionate, playful, sociable, yet rather stoic border collie mix. Easily makes friends (both human & dog), and is a velcro dog to his chosen person. Since he's smart & a bit stubborn, looking for a strong leader with capacity to provide structure, consistency, clear boundaries & expectations for him. Big snuggler & loves belly rubs.
Shines in public settings & is a dog you could take almost anywhere - great in car, walks with minimal pulling with a front clip harness, even able to settle quietly in an office environment. VERY food motivated (great for training) but prone to counter surfing. Lower energy for a BC mix (he won't run 'till he drops'). Not crate trained but hasn't be destructive when left alone.

We rescued him from Craigslist (previous family was moving out of country) and wanted to keep him. However, we think he would be happier in a family w/ kids (8+) in a larger living space. Breed experience preferred.
