My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Help Make Josh's Dream Come True!

Picture this: six months ago, 5-year-old Josh got a final plea at the shelter because they ran out of space. Enter the amazing foster hero who stepped up and agreed to a one-week fostering adventure. Fast forward six months, and they STILL adore Josh! But it's time for this sweet boy to find his forever home.

Meet Josh! Josh is a sweet, bubbly, and affectionate big baby, tipping the scales at 72 pounds. He's always craving love and pets, and trust us, you'll never tire of his cuddles. His favorite pastime? Playing fetch and zooming around the yard with joyful energy. A polite greeter, Josh takes treats gently and shows his excitement with a wiggly butt that's absolutely adorable. He LOVES food and treats and gets excited for mealtime, often doing a cute little dance.

Josh’s Ideal Home: Best with older, considerate kids – not because he's overly rambunctious, but because he's got a lot of energy and might accidentally knock over the little ones. He adores stuffed toys and is as gentle with them as possible. Josh needs to be the only pet due to past abuse (missing teeth are proof of his warrior spirit).

Josh's Special Traits: Josh loves car rides and prances like a horse when it's feeding time – seriously, it's a sight to behold! He wants to be super close to you, melting into you when lounging on the couch.

Let's make Josh's dream come true by finding him the loving forever home he deserves!

More about this rescue

Adopt a Homeless Animal Rescue (AAHA) is a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and assisting animals in crisis. We actively combat animal cruelty in any form.

We have a particular commitment to pit bulls and aim to raise awareness about the breed, help those in need, and educate the public:
•We seek to promote this lovely yet unfairly maligned breed as the sweet, intelligent, affectionate, and people-oriented dogs they are.
•We assume stewardship over their well-being and strive to make this world a better place for them.
•We serve as a resource and/or liaison for shelters, individuals, and the community at large, advocating for any animal in harm's way.
•We also function in an advisory role for private citizens who seek assistance and guidance in better caring for their pets.

We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Please help us help the animals!
