My story

: Hi there! My name is California- (Cal for short), and I’m looking for my forever home. I was one of the puppies found in a box and turned us into the Chicago police station who then reached out to CDR who took us all in! We were really lucky to be kept together after being tossed out in a box at 4 weeks old. Out of all my siblings I like to show the others what to do! I lead everyone outside in the morning when we wake up, when it’s time for my brothers and I to go exploring I’m always in front and ready to start the fun- and when it’s time to take a nap or hang out in our crates I’m the first one running into our room.
I’m super playful with all of my foster brothers and sisters. I’m pretty darn smart and VERY treat motivated. I’m crate trained, house trained,, I love kids, and other dogs! I’ve never been around cats but at my age I think I’d do well.
