Dante's charming personality makes him a delightful companion. His distinguished gray tuxedo coat gives him an elegant appearance, setting him apart from other cats. Despite being at the shelter for several months, he remains hopeful and loving, always greeting visitors with a gentle nuzzle and his signature loud purr.
He has a playful side that truly shines when he chases feather toys around the room, displaying his agility and youthful energy. While he enjoys the company of humans, Dannte would thrive in a home where he can be the center of attention, without the hustle and bustle of too many other pets. His independent nature means he is content spending time on his own, but he never says no to a cozy cuddle session.
At 2 1/2 years old, Dante is at the perfect age to adapt to a new environment and bond with his forever family. He longs for a quiet home where he can explore, play, and bask in the affection of his new companions. Could you be the person to give Dante the loving home he deserves? For additional information about our adoption process and adoption hours, please call 269-209-7278.

Additional adoption info
The first step in the process of adopting a pet from Companion Cats is to complete an adoption application. It provides information that enables us to assist you in the selection of a pet. Together, we will be able to determine if the adoption is in the animal’s best interest, and the process ensures that you will find an animal well-suited to your lifestyle.
Our $80.00 adoption fee for Adult cats (or $120.00 for two) and $100 adoption fee for Kittens (or $150 for two) includes the cost for general care while being fostered, microchipping, age appropriate vaccinations, testing for FIV/FeLV, and spaying or neutering of the animal. To be considered as an adopter, you must:
*Be at least 18 years old
*Have a valid driver’s license or Michigan Identification Card stating your current address
*Provide the name and phone number of your veterinarian
*Have the knowledge and consent of a landlord, if relevant (also provide the name and phone number of your landlord)
*Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide medical treatment, proper nourishment and care, as well as, training for a pet
Call 269-569-4152 to begin the adoption process.
NOTE: We reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone. No animal will be adopted to persons who mislead or fail to provide accurate information on the adoption applications.

More about this shelter
Companion Cats is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization made up of volunteers. Our mission is to spay or neuter and find suitable homes for unowned cats, thus ending the suffering of abandoned and homeless cats living on the streets.
Once spayed our goal is to place them in an environment that best fits each cat. This method provides the most humane living situation possible. Both friendly and feral alike deserve the perfect forever home. If the cat is not very friendly but is homeless, perhaps this means being a “Barn Buddy” or being introduced into a controlled colony. If feral kittens are found, it might mean living in a volunteer foster home where they can be socialized until old enough to be tested for FIV & FeLV, spayed, microchipped and vaccinated prior to adoption
