My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"SUNNY" a GREEK HOUND MIX, about 3 years old who weights approx. 20kg. Anastasia found him at a small seaside town tavern and immediately fell in love with him. She soon realized he was waiting patiently at a distance for any scraps thrown his way because bigger dogs and the taverns' waiters bullied him away.

She bribed him with food into her car and went to the vet; once proven he was healthy, she took him home with her where he stayed until she had to return to Canada. She named him "SUNNY" because of his sunny personality; he is easy going and social –even if a bit shy at the beginning. "SUNNY" is also very cheerful and playful with other animals. He is food oriented and thus easily trainable.

"SUNNY" is a picture of health, fully vetted and vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered, also housebroken and leash trained. He would be an exceptional addition to any family. Stray Paws From Greece is a non-for-profit organization founded in Toronto, Canada by Anastasia Somers, a Greek-Canadian animal rescuer.
Anastasia has been involved with animal rescue for many years in both Greece and Canada. Recently, she started her own organization in an effort to provide the best of care to the abused and neglected Greek stray dogs.
Our mission is to save as many neglected or needy dogs as possible from Greece and find forever homes for them in Canada.
