My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Stanley, a dog whose spirit is as vibrant as his personality. Despite having a paw amputated, he's never lost his zest for life. He's sweet, friendly, and cuddly. His gentleness is a testament to his resilience, making him a wonderful companion. Stanley's ability to adapt and thrive is truly inspiring. He loves to play, cuddle, and give unconditional love. His joyful demeanor and love for life are infectious, brightening up any room he enters. Stanley is looking for a loving home where he can share his joy and love. He deserves a family that will cherish his affectionate nature and celebrate his resilience. Adopt Stanley and let his gentle spirit fill your home with love and happiness.

More about this shelter

Our mission is to reduce the number of homeless pets through rescue, adoption and spay and neuter programs.

The new HSOY shelter is a state-of-the-art, beautiful facility that provides a safe, healthy, and humane environment for the thousands of animals that enter our care each year. It is a centrally located facility that offers a welcoming atmosphere, and hosts an onsite spay/neuter vaccination clinic aimed at reducing Yuma's homeless pet overpopulation and providing lifesaving vaccinations.

Since 1963, the Humane Society of Yuma has been devoted to the rescue, care, placement, and population control of Yuma's orphaned and homeless pets with animal welfare as the sole priority. The Humane Society of Yuma is a non-profit organization, governed by a Board of Directors and is independently funded by donations, grants, and municipal contracts; this funding is utilized to support the adoptions, clinic services, rescue partners, foster program, and community education of animal welfare and protection.
