Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gemma is an angel and a super model with legs for days!
Gemma is a playful, sweet and gentle young lady. She is doing wonderful in foster care and enjoys playing with the older puppy in the home. They play so gently and sweetly together and she is hoping for a playmate in her forever home!
Gemma likes dog beds, toys, and chewing (she's a puppy and teething). She is doing great on her house skills and is very smart! Gemma has also done well with bigger dogs and is not intimidated at all.
Poodles are an active breed and require routine grooming every 4-6 weeks and being brushed in between.
Gemma saw the vet and a slight heart murmur was heard but the vet believes she will outgrow this.
Gemma's adoption is $500. She is not spayed due to her young age. A spay contract is required and we will cover that expense if using our vet in Decatur. She is current on vaccines, microchipped and on flea and heart worm prevention.
PLEASE NOTE: We are a volunteer ran rescue with full time jobs. Please allow 7-10 days for application processing.
All of our dogs are in foster homes and a meet and greet is done ONLY after an approved application.
We do adopt out of the area. However, we do not ship or provide transportation. You must come to the location of the dog to meet and adopt. NO EXCEPTION. All family members and dogs must be present at the meet.
Dogs are a commitment for THEIR lifetime. For puppies this could be 15 years. If YOU cannot commit to the lifetime of the DOG, please do not apply. Puppies under 9 months must go to a home where there is someone home frequently (works from home or a partner is home), can adequately socialize and train the puppy, and can keep up with puppy energy!
