My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Reese recently came to ARC because his guardian could no longer care for him. He is a gentle kitty and is adjusting nicely to his new surroundings. He is good with strangers and welcomes gentle petting. He no longer hides inside the house but is out on the screened in area where he can watch all the new things going on around him. He has made great progress in the brief time he has been at ARC. We are sure he will soon find his way into volunteer’s laps for gentle petting and snuggling. Come meet Reese and see for yourself what a gentle, good-natured kitty he is.

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
