My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This super sweet boy is Darby! Darby is approximately 6 years old and weighs 50 pounds. Darby was found as a stray and ended up in the shelter for over a year! He had an injury to his face and jaw, which you can see in his pictures.

We don't know what happened to Darby when he was on the streets, but this poor boy had such severe fear of leaving his kennel and going outside that the staff and volunteers would have to carry or pull him outside. The volunteers just loved him and would sit with him in his kennel where he would wiggle with delight to be with people and have the company. Although he had that fear he was just sweet as can be, which is why they reached out to us to bring him into our rescue.

Darby has come a long way since being with us. He loves to chase lizards now and is the sweetest, wiggly and loving boy! He's still not a huge fan of spending much time outside, as he would much prefer to be in the house with his humans. So, if you are looking for a loving, cuddly boy to keep you company and spend your time with, Darby is your boy!

Please be sure to include your phone number when you inquire so we can call you and tell you more about this sweetheart!
