Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Daisy is a 1.5year old 9 pound yorkie mix girl who is being fostered near Lessburg, FL.
Updated Bio 2/10/24: Daisy is an adorable, young, one and a half year old little girl. She is most likely a Yorkie mix. Daisy came to us a matted mess. Her groomer couldnt get scissors through the mats therefore she had to be shaved completed down. A once chubby, dirty brown dog became a perfect 8.8 pound, beautiful young dog, who will be an even more beautiful tan and blond girl when her hair grows in.
Daisy is doing well in her foster home. It is the first time in her life she is getting the love and care all dogs need. Unfortunately she never had any training in puppy manners including house training. Why would a dog that was so seriously neglected and then who found herself on the streets need proper training or even had someone who loved her enough to do that for her?
In spite of her time on the streets Daisy is an affectionate, happy little pup. She loves people and she loves to give kisses. She will give kisses to anyone who takes the time to give her the cuddling she loves. She was insistent from the second night in her foster home, she would sleep with them in their bed. She wants to always be around her people and have them near her. She does well in the car and walked fine on the leash for a short time, then got confused as to what was expected of her. We are working with Daisy but there is a ways to go with her training.
Daisy is fine with the other dog in the home, through she does not interact with him at all. She is all about people. They are her reason for being. We are not sure how Daisy would do with kids or cats. We have not yet heard her bark, though we think there is a bark somewhere in her.
Daisy needs a forever home with a family that will understand she will still need time and patience and consistent training with her puppy manners. Daisy needs someone home a lot of the time. People and a lap to cuddle with her on are what is important to Daisy. A home with a fenced in yard would be great for Daisy. She loves to explore and be outside.
Please keep in mind, Daisy is a very young girl. She will most likely live around another 13 years. Daisy will need a home with a family that can promise her that they will be with her for her whole life, her forever family until the very end.
Daisy will be ready for her forever home around February 19th when her spay is healed. If you are ready to commit to this special little girl please submit an adoption application for her.
