My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lily, a charming feline resident of our shelter. Lily is the epitome of a sweet and mellow cat. She's the kind of companion who will keep you company without being overly demanding. Her intelligence shines through in her independent nature, and she's always up for a friendly interaction. She's a gentle soul who gets along well with other cats, and even dogs, as long as they're not too energetic. Lily also has a soft spot for children. She might be a bit on the lazy side, but that just means she's perfectly content to spend her days lounging around with you. Lily is not just a pet, she's a friend, a confidante, a source of comfort, and a beacon of gentle companionship. Adopt Lily and enrich your life with her sweet, mellow, and friendly presence.More information? Call Marion Area Humane Society at 740-389-6548 or email at manager@mahspets.org

More about this shelter

Marion Area Humane Society is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization incorporated in 1967 under ORC 1717. We strive to educate, assist and protect the animals of the Marion area. Since 1986 have operated a shelter to provide a humane environment for homeless animals. In 2011 several generous donors and grants made it possible for a shelter renovation and addition of a separate intake section. MAHS operates a open-admissions shelter with a guilt and fee free surrender policy, to encourage owners who can not properly care or maintain proper living conditions for their pets to do the best thing for the pet. MAHS also provides humane investigations and a spay/neuter voucher program for Marion county.
