**Meet and greets for approved applicants must happen within 3 days or the closest weekend (for long travelers). It’s in the dogs/puppies best interest to be placed into their furever homes in a timely manner. All household members must attend the meet and greet. Due to the amount of no shows we are now requiring a $50 deposit. If you adopt this will come off your adoption fee. If you meet and it’s not a good fit you will be refunded. If you cancel or no show it’s non refundable.
Attica has come a long way in the 2 months she’s been with us. She has gone from rushing the door to sitting to wait to go out. When she comes back in from outside she does have to make her lap around the house to be sure everyone is safe but will then settle in and relax. She’s typically at my side when working around the house or snuggled in next to me when it’s TV time.
We’ve found that she does like soft treats which has helped with training and learning commands. We are still working with basics, she gets very excited for attention but is learning that there are rewards for settling down. Patience is key, you just have to give her a moment to get out the wiggles and get there. This is the reasoning behind better with older children, as smaller children would be at “face shulping” height and may knock down small children with her enthusiasm.
She really adores people and hasn’t meet a single person she doesn’t love. Most dogs are ok with a slow intro, she just needs a bit of time. She loves to be outside and would prefer to just hangout in the backyard all day, especially if it’s a nice sunny day!
She’s super gentle at taking a treat! She likes her peanut butter filled Kong and pigs ears.
Attica was in rescue for a very long time before making her way to Wisconsin, she’s very excited to find a family of her own to love and to learn how to “dog”. She really wants to hang out and be a part of the family and she’s making great strides.
