My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Valentino is a happy go lucky guy. He’s always in a good mood and doesn’t seem to worry about much. He knows as handsome and sweet as he is he’s sure to find someone to adopt him soon. He’s a 1YO medium sized Lab mix who has been looking since 2/14/24. He’s the perfect company for those who don’t have time to play all day. He has a lower energy level so he doesn’t need much exercise before he’s ready to settle down and relax or cuddle. He loves to be pet most of all. Valentino is good on a leash and already knows how to sit on command for a treat. He always takes his treats nicely as well. He`s done great with other dogs in shelter playgroups! He`s a very sweet boy who would be a great addition to any family.

More about this shelter

We are an open admission, municipal shelter serving the unincorporated area of Fort Bend County, TX.

We are the county's rabies control authority as well as being their animal shelter. On average, we take in approximately 4,000-5,000 pets per year.

The staff at FBCAS is small but each and every one of us is dedicated to making the stay of the pets in our care as comfortable as possible. Our hearts are in this and with every pet that crosses our threshold.

We are part of the amazing Fort Bend County community and we are always striving to work with our community people and partners to make our shelter the best it can be.

We can always use new volunteers to help us keep our pets happy and healthy while they wait for their forever home.

We hope that you will find your new love at our shelter - we always have so many to choose from!
