My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*Indoor only*

When we first trapped Bertie, she was underweight and nervous around people. But through a little work and a lot of love, her foster family has brought her back to health. Now Bertie gets her nails clipped and fur brushed like any other pampered indoor kitty! She's also become a champion litter box user.

Bertie is most comfortable around people she knows and loves. She enjoys sitting near you and getting affection on her own terms. Sometimes she'll say "hello or "goodnight! with her squeaky little meow. She likes to explore and find nooks and crannies to hunker down in and watch the world, and she has gotten along with other kitties in the past.

Sponsored adoption fee includes spay/neuter, FIV and FELV combo test, up-to-date rabies and distemper vaccinations, deworming treatments, flea treatments, and microchip.

More about this rescue

Shadow Cats TNR (SCTNR) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to assisting animals in need. Our mission is to establish and manage programs for the welfare of community cats, companion animals, and pet owners needing assistance, in collaboration with other community partners, rescue groups and shelters.

We specialize in controlling the community cat population through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). As a result of the TNR process, we often acquire, along with feral cats, friendly and semi-friendly cats and kittens. We work to place these cats into appropriate homes through our adoption and barn cat programs. SCTNR seeks to educate the public on the importance of spaying/neutering all pets as well as controlling the cat populations in our county.
