Hi there, I'm Flit! I'm a very sweet kitty that loves every person I meet! You wouldn't guess it based on my loving personality, but I actually spent the majority of my life in an animal testing laboratory where I was subjected to painful experiments. Did you know that animal testing involves experimentation on cats and dogs, too? Now that I've been rescued by Beagle Freedom Project, I am growing into the affectionate kitty that I was always meant to be! I absolutely love to be snuggled and cuddled. I can be a little bit shy at first, but once I trust you, I'm a total doll! I also love spending time by a window so I can watch birds and bugs flutter by. I am such an easy-going and low-key kitty. I do well with other cats but am weary of dogs- they make me feel a little scared. I promise to be your best friend ever if you adopt me! I hope that someone notices me soon... my dream is to find a loving, forever home. Could that be with you?

Interview
If your application is approved, you will be contacted by our team for a pre-adoption interview.

Home Check
After your pre-adoption interview, you will join a video call with our team to complete a virtual home check.
4.
Take the Pet Home
Once your interview, home check, and reference checks are complete, you will pick up your new companion to begin an adoption trial.
5.
Sign Adoption Contract
If, after an adoption trial, you decide that your new companion is your perfect match, you will then sign the adoption contract.

ABOUT OUR ADOPTION PROCESS: Standardly, Beagle Freedom Project does not facilitate animal meet and greets. Instead, we begin all BFP adoptions with a trial-period; this is called ‘fostering-to-adopt’. At BFP, we believe that the best way for an adopter to be certain that an animal is their perfect match is by giving them an opportunity to truly know each other before finalizing an adoption. As BFP animals come from such traumatic pasts, they can often be shy upon a first meeting. Foster-to-adopt trials allow these special animals an opportunity to decompress and show their authentic personality before an official adoption decision is made.
