My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I'm Mittens, your new furry companion with a heart full of love! I spent nearly FOUR years in an animal testing laboratory where I was used as a test subject-- did you know that animal testing involves experimentation on dogs and cats, too? During my time in the lab, I was kept in a small pin and only noticed by humans when they wanted to poke, prod, and hurt me. Now that Beagle Freedom Project has saved me from the laboratory, I'm such a happy girl! I'm known for being super affectionate and sweet, and I just adore spending time cuddling with my favorite human friends. Whether we're playing with feather toys or soaking up the sunshine in a catio, I'm always up for some fun and relaxation. My calm and easygoing nature makes me a great fit for any household, and I get along really well with other kitties who share my energy. So if you're looking for a new best friend, I'm available and ready to join your family! I can’t wait to be your forever lap cat!

My location: NOWATA, OK

*BFP will facilitate out-of-state adoptions, so long as an animal’s adopter is willing and able to travel to their new companion’s current location for pick up.*

*Please note that third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal. My correct and current location is the one listed directly above!*
