My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buttercup is a gorgeous female mix. Her body is longer like a long-haired Dachshund and her legs are like a Corgi. She is about 2 1/2 years of age and around 14 pounds. She comes to us from a home with too many dogs on property and Blue Ridge Animal Rescue took in 12. Buttercup is a little timid and undersocialized but has a lovely personality and is very friendly once she knows you! She is house trained and good with others. Buttercup will need a patient family to help her transition safely into a new environment. She has shown to be an escape artist so precautions should be taken. She should settle nicely and really bond with a new owner that gives her time and attention! This little girl just needs a family that can help build her confidence and social exposure and she'll be an amazing companion! She comes fully vetted upon adoption (spay, microchip, vaccines, preventatives, etc). Please email blueridgerescue@aol.com with questions or for an adoption application.
