My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Goldie, a quiet senior beauty with stunning tortoiseshell fur and bright green eyes. Once called "Show Kitty" for her looks, she now enjoys relaxing in sunny spots and gentle brushing of her long coat. Though mostly calm, Goldie has the occasional playful "grandma spurt and softly bats at toys. Curious but quiet, she loves exploring and being a peaceful companion. Goldie is looking for a serene home where she can share her gentle affection and warmth.

More about this shelter

CCA was founded in 1980 by a small group of individuals dedicated to helping animals. Since then, our group has grown to include a small shelter. Our group's mission is varied: to maintain a shelter for abandoned, sick or injured animals; to adopt out dogs and cats to loving permanent homes; to provide for their animals low-cost spay/neuter assistance to families who lack the means to pay; and to strive to prevent and to stop abuse and/or neglect of an animal.

We are always in need of volunteers! If you are interested in becoming a part of our group, please let us know by calling 864.243.4222. We'd be glad to have you on board!
