Meet Rex, the King of Mardi Gras!

Rex is a 5 year old, male, Chihuahua mix, weighing about 12 lbs. He is a little shy at first, but has been adjusting to his foster home very well. He gets along with other calm dogs big and small. He is a little kitty curious, but has not been aggressive.

Rex is a SUPER SNUGGLER and will get himself under any blanket he can find. He does okay in a crate, however, he has been left in the house alone and did fine. We are working on his manners, but overall he is pretty good. He does need more practice on a leash, but that should come with time and practice. He is a vocal little fella at meal time, but hasn't been yappy.

Rex is up to date on vaccines/preventatives and neutered. He has a low grade heart murmur and some mild tarter, but otherwise is in pretty good health. He did arrive infested with fleas, which was taken care of, however he has some residual itchies and hair loss from it. The flea bites should heal soon and his hair should start growing back. He is getting medicated baths to treat his skin and we currently have him on a chicken-free diet just in case an allergy was contributing to the skin issue. He is a very good eater.
