My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet this sweet girl, Ruth! ❤️❤️
Approximately 6 yrs young!!

Meet Ruth: Your Future Furry Friend!

Hi there! I’m Ruth, a gentle and sweet soul who was rescued from the shelter. I have a calm demeanor and a love for leisurely walks—just half a mile is my perfect distance! I’m known for being low-key; I don’t bark at outside noises and get along wonderfully with dogs my size or bigger.

My neighborhood adores me, and I love the attention I get when people stop to say hi. I’m fully potty trained and know all my basic commands. While I cherish belly rubs and affection, I’m just as happy to relax at your feet all day. I’m looking for a forever home filled with love and kindness. Will you be the one to give me that?

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our animals are kept in foster care until we find them the best forever home. All prespective adopters fill out our interest form and have a home check as well as a meet and greet with the animal they are considering adopting. A small adoption fee is asked for depending on the animal and it's age etc. An adoption contract is signed by both parties and if there is any issue with the animal after adoption the adopter agrees to return the animal to us.

More about this rescue

Our dream at Vegas Pet Rescue Project is to positively impact the Las Vegas homeless, abused and abandoned pets that overwhelm our shelter system by giving them a new lease on LIFE. Our primary focus will be to assist the local animal shelters (Animal Foundation and Henderson Shelter) with the pets who have been given limited time to be adopted before they are removed from the shelter system due to a multitude of reasons. We will accomplish this goal through our extensive network of foster families, donations, and sponsors. We would also like to help finance spay and neuter programs to help low income families be responsible pet owners and decrease the overpopulation issues we face in Vegas. We also feel it important to collect pet supplies and food for local rescues and the city’s Good Samaritans who foster rescue pets and take in strays. Eventually we would love to help create a volunteer based program to investigate and bring down illegal breeding. We have been helping the pet rescue effort in the city for 3 years now and feel like we are just getting started.
