My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there, fur-riends! I'm Figaro, the purr-fectly shy yet pawsitively charming feline! Don't let my timid demeanor fool you—I've got a knack for making friends with my fellow furry pals faster than you can say 'meow'! When it comes to playtime, I'm a whisker above the rest! Whether it's batting around with my favorite toys or showing off my impressive skills in carrying small objects in my mouth (yes, even the occasional sock), I'm always up for a good time! As for humans, well, let's just say I'm warming up to the idea. While I may not be head-over-heels for those chin scratches just yet, I'm slowly realizing that a gentle sweep down my back aren't so bad after all. It's a work in progress, okay? But give me a sunny spot by the window, and I'm in my element! There's nothing quite like a cozy afternoon siesta basking in the warm rays, dreaming of chasing butterflies and birds. Ah, the good life! So, if you're in the market for a companion who's equal parts playful and purr-fectly content with a little alone time, look no further! Figaro's the name, and cuddles (eventually) are my game. Let's make memories—and maybe a few catnip-filled adventures— together!

Go meet their pets

We will be holding adoption event days with PetSmart on Ft Jackson Blvd and Two Notch Rd as well as PetSense on Garners Ferry Rd. These are partnerships that we've initiated and that have been greeted with open arms by these great organizations. MUCH More to Come!

More about this rescue

At Cat Around Town Project, we believe that by spaying and neutering as many stray and colony cats as possible, we are proactively controlling overpopulation at its source. All kittens and any cats that are adoptable are removed from the colonies and adopted to suitable homes. One day, when the supply meets the demand, there will be a home waiting for every kitten in our community. .
