Here's an update from this handsome boy, Ximen's (#MASA27018) foster parents:
"Ximen (we're calling him Zoro) is doing very well, adapting to his crate and learning house manners. He's clearly never been a house dog.
The first time I let him off his leash in the house, he ran everywhere - he had to look in every room, sniff everything, and got spooked by the two cats who were just as surprised as he was at a new face so close up! They see him every day but not on the loose. Luckily, Ximen didn't chase; he was just startled and backed away.
Now, I give Ximen all his meals in his crate, which has helped it become a happy place! He's such a handsome boy and will make the right adopter very happy."
A staff member who spent time with Ximen said, "Ximen was easy to leash up and take outside. In the yard, he mostly enjoyed exploring and doing his own thing, but he would come over occasionally to interact with me. He has a little bit of a goofy personality, bouncing around the yard at times. He also seemed curious of other dogs in other yards and would wine a bit at the fence."
If you're interested in adopting 2-year-old Ximen (aka Zoro), click "apply for adoption" on his profile at memphisanimalservices.com, and we'll forward your information to his foster parents.
