Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This lovely girl is as sweet as her name! Reese Cup is female, approximately one year old, and has a gorgeous brindle colored coat with white flashing on her chest, belly, and lower legs (and on the very tip of her long, curling tail!). She has all appearances of being a true Plott Hound, with the exception of her curling tail (which is a mystery). Reese Cup weighs about 35 pounds, but could stand to gain a few more pounds to round out her girlish figure. Once fully grown, she will be a fine, tall girl.
Reese Cup was found wondering a riverside neighborhood on July 5th, three days after apparently being dropped off at a local highway gas station. She followed her rescuer willingly from the river's ledge, wagging her tail and enjoying the attention. While she turned her nose up at the Goldfish crackers offered to her (picky, picky!), she had no problems eating up the barbeque she was given. She sat calmly while on a leash, sunbathing next to the pool while waiting for her rescuer to make some decisions about her future. Reese Cup watched with interest the 5-year old boy who was swimming in the backyard pool, and was very loving to him when he came out to say hi to her, making sure he got lots of tail wags and kisses. While she didn't particularly care for being in the cargo area of the minivan on the way to the vet, she did decide the backseat made a fine spot for napping, and slept the entire 40 minute trip. In the vet's lobby, she was curious about the cat that was meowing loudly, but made no aggressive moves towards it. She greeted several other dogs on their way in and out, and allowed strangers to pet her (including some really good belly rubs).
Reese Cup has a sweet, ready-to-please-you attitude, and seems to be more submissive than dominant. She wants to place her head on your lap, and relishes her ears to be rubbed and her chest to be scratched. I think her eyes give away her heart -- she is a keeper!
