Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please meet Pluto in NY, NY, the smartest guy in the room. He is a small dog with a big personality. He is probably 3 years old and weighs about 20 pounds. He is very smart and active he would excel in a home that participates in K9 sports.
He came from NYCACC so not much is known about his background, however, up front, he has a bite history per nycacc. He has not shown aggression towards anyone in my house since he has been here except a brief disagreement over a peanut butter kong. (Who came blame him, peanut butter is yummy.) He is reactive towards new people in his house and being startled when sleeping but gets over it quickly. I have been doing flyball training with him, he knows basic commands, and is house trained as long as he is on a consistent schedule. He does excellent with positive reinforcement.
He is good with other dogs and per his previous foster dog savvy cats. Pluto is very smart, food and toy motivated. He does have some separation anxiety and barks when we leave alone but it has gotten better. Probably not the best in an apartment.
He loves his toys and bones. He still mouths like a puppy but I have been redirecting him with his kong or a ball. Older, dogs savvy kids would be ok for him but no young children. He is a great agility, flyball, etc. prospect. Adopt Pluto and be outsmarted by your dog.
If Pluto sounds perfect for your family, please fill out our application:https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application
