My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lily is a 2.5 year old loving black beauty with golden eyes. She loves rolling in front of people and flopping down for belly rubs and laying next to your side. She has a very loud purr when she is being petted and getting attention. She enjoys wand toys and a laser light and she likes running water from a faucet so a pet fountain would likely be a nice treat for her.

She came into her foster home with her sister Baby (also on Petfinder) and she is more confident than her sister and came out to greet her foster parents pretty quickly. Lily can be adopted separately or with her sister or to a home with other laid back cats with a proper introduction. She has lived with other cats previously and has done just fine. She will be fine with smaller (not hyper) dogs but has been intimidated by larger dogs in the past. In her previous home, there were also some birds and she seemed to think they were something to play with rather than her family members so she will do best in a home without birds or other small animals except other cats. She has done very well with children too.

Lily is a quiet cat who has cute little squeaks when she does decide to speak. Her purrs are pretty loud though and we’re sure she is communicating through those. She is very gentle with her claws and will appreciate a scratching post and a cat tree with a cubby hole in her new home.
