My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOB: 11/26/2023

Weight: 60 lbs

Anton was taken into the LHS foster program earlier this year and adopted by a wonderful family. This is a sweet cuddly pup who loves to go where his people go. He is eager to please and knows how to:

Sit
Shake left - offers left paw
Shake right - offers right paw
High Five - offers both
Come
Working on stay
Rings bell when he wants outside

He's crate-trained and potty trained. He does get along great with other dogs and children, but his only downfall is that over time he will resource guard his food. He will allow people to take a toy, bone, food or any other items from him, but when another canine is around and food is present, that is the only time he is not happy.

With young children in the home, the family was concerned that the children could be injured if there was food present with both of their dogs in the room. Otherwise, is a wonderful, loving and well-behaved boy. He will make a wonderful addition to a home without any other canines and or the ability to keep food 100% separate when another dog is present.

$275 donation includes a full set of vaccinations, a one-year rabies vaccine, microchip and registration, and spay/neuter.

Please complete an adoption application and someone will reach out to you within 48 hours via email. https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/

We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application.

Additional adoption info

Adopters will complete an adoption app. If he/she has a pet, we will check their vet reference and a home visit is not needed (as long as the vet reference is current). All pets must be up to date current on Heartworm prevention and S/N. If a home visit is needed, we will complete that ASAP--as we don't want any delays in the adoption process. The adoption fees are listed here: https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoption-fees/. There is a 5-day grace period to make sure he/she is a good fit for your family. A full refund will be issued if the pet is returned within the 5-day trial period. Before you chose to adopt, check out this link for a few items to consider before making this big step: https://legacyhumanesociety.org/are-you-ready-to-adopt/
