My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

(01/23/2022) Pringles has immense love to give to her human friends. She loves kids!  She was shy at first but is now generous with tail wags, jumping around in a circle and random kisses. Are you a family looking for a furry 4-legged family member? Then please consider sweet Pringles! Though her origin story wasn’t one of compassion or care, she relishes in all of the love and attention now!

She is so sweet. She is done good with potty training with her foster family; keep her a schedule and she is good to go. She is quiet (haven't heard her bark yet). Pringles is also super smart. With her love of food, she is treat motivated to learn and please her family. Plus, any kind of praise, love and attention go a long way. She will beam with happiness and pride! She really trains fast; her leash walks have gotten so much easier so quickly!

She has shown some a little sass at random times to the foster family's dog (also a female) but could be corrected with time, patience, and training. Pringles would probably be best as an only dog. She is also a great sleeper. Pringle loves being with her people and would rather be inside with you than running around outside. For that reason, she does not require a fenced in yard and would be a good choice for apartment or condo living (as mentioned, she is a quite girl, too). She is amazing; she has soooooo much love and affection to give and will shower you with her caring; she deserves the love she gives.

The question that is often asked; "Why Pringles you ask? Was she really named after the chip??" Yep, just like the chips! She had some Pringles at the shelter and was a favorite of the staff, so her nickname was kept. Not only does Pringles love Pringles, she really loves food in general; she loves to eat! She may get closer to the 50 mark as her final weight.

As part of Pringles’s $300 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little girl, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Pringles, you can fill in an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

1. Review the description of the pet you are interested in to make sure that the information we have fits with your particular needs and desires. In most cases, the information on the website is current and gives the information that we have about the particular pet. The picture of the pet does not tell the whole story.

2. Complete the adoption application at https://pawsforlifenc.org. Please make sure that you give us as much information about yourself as you can. List all animals currently living with you including other dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and rodents. The application needs to be complete in order to help us determine if the pet you have chosen is a good match for your home.

3. Once the application is submitted we will contact you, your references, and your vet.

4. We require a home visit prior to dog adoptions.

5. If more than one person applies, we will go with the BEST fit. If all things are equal, we go in the order the applications were received.

6. Once the home visit has been completed, you will be asked to complete an adoption agreement.

7. The adoption fee is $325 for dogs under 6 months, $300 for 6 months and older. The adoption fee is $125 for kittens under 1 year ($225 for 2 kittens), $85 for cats 1 year and older. This fee helps us to provide the necessary medical care and other needs for the pets while in foster care.

8. All Paws For Life NC pets are spayed or neutered if old enough, current on shots, micro chipped, and to our knowledge, in good health before they are adopted out. Puppies under 6 months of age will require a $100 refundable spay/neuter deposit in addition to the adoption fee and a special puppy spay/neuter agreement. Kittens under 6 months will require a $50 refundable spay/neuter deposit in addition to the adoption fee. We are all volunteers and receive no monetary compensation for our work with the pets. The adoption fee is used to help defray costs in the rescue and care of the pets.

9. Congratulations! You are on your way to having your new companion. We hope that you and your new companion share a life of love and happiness. We welcome any comments you may wish to give us about your pet at any time.
