Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet BOBA, a sweet, gentle, smart, Domestic Shorthair with handsome yellow eyes and highly-social disposition.
Boba was discovered crying underneath a man's house in Sherman Oaks. We suspect his Mama made her nest there, and he was, somehow, left behind when she moved her babies.
Fortunately, the homeowner, and his girl friend, were able to catch him and get him safe. It didn't take long for him to start warming up to us scary humans. Within a week he was chasing the laser pointer, coming to the front of the pen for scratches, pets and rolling over for belly rubs!
We took him into our rescue just before Christmas and he is now playing with complete abandon, still rolls over for belly rubs... but now enjoys complete body massages. He also LOVES being held in my arms, and he begins purring, immediately, gently suckling on my shirt or robe. He still seems to be searching for Mama's nipple but in a gentle way, not frantic.
He's a good eater and is so gentle, he even holds still for claw trimming in my lap. This monkey boy gets along great with other felines and would do best in a home with at least one, friendly, young/youngish cat.
Boba's rescue story is chronicled in Photo Album #30 on our Facebook page: "Save The Leadwell Kitties". There you'll find updates on ALL our cats and kittens!
Boba's adoption will include his:
* Neuter surgery,
* De-worming,
* FVRCP vaccinations,
* Rabies vaccination,
* Combo-test (for FIV/FeLV = negative),
* Flea and mite treatment (with Revolution),
* and Micro chipping!
~ $150. adoption fee, adoption contract and home check apply / $250 for a pair ~
* Please only contact us if you'll be making Boba a permanent member of your household and will be keeping him safe indoors.
** We do not adopt out kittens or cats where they will be the only pet at home. Kittens rely on each other for emotional support and continued social and behavioral development. For example: another kitten or cat will teach them when they're playing too rough or biting too hard. Plus, cats and kittens get very lonely when you're not at home! Having a playmate will keep them happier, healthier and out of trouble. **We offer a discount when adopting a pair!
