Izzy is looking for a VERY special adopter to give her her forever home ❤️
Izzy is a sweet, sweet gal that had a rough start to life. Izzy was found abandoned down the street from the shelter, tied to a tree. She was missing all of her fur and was covered in sores. She is around 11 months old, is petite and around 42lbs, UTD on her vaccines, heartworm negative, and is recovering beautifully from mange. She is an absolute gem. She LOVES to cuddle, sits perfectly for treats, loves her foster siblings, and is overall a great pup.
Izzy is special because she was born with a genetic heart defect known as aortic stenosis so basically the blood flows differently through her heart. She has seen a cardiologist that believes she should live a full long life, and wants to follow up with her again in a year to make sure nothing has changed. She might have to take an inexpensive medication at some point, or she may never have to though her exercise should be monitored because it could affect her heart rhythm.
