Meet Presley, a 3-year-old Velcro dog with a heart full of love, ready to find her forever home. Presley is the ultimate companion, always eager for quality time with her humans. She thrives on affection, playful moments, and the comfort of knowing she’ll never have to worry about being abandoned again.
Presley is a well-mannered walker, showing excellent leash behavior with minimal pulling, making her a joy to take on strolls. She’s also house and crate trained and knows basic commands like “sit,” “stay,” and “come.” Her foster trusts her enough to leave her loose in the house, knowing she’ll behave perfectly even when unsupervised.
In her foster home, Presley has shown she’s cat-friendly and gets along well with other dogs, happily engaging in playtime with them in the yard. However, Presley has a strong, confident personality, so she would do best in a home with submissive dogs that allow her to take on the alpha role. Slow, proper introductions to other pets are essential to ensure a smooth transition. While she does crave human companionship, Presley has learned to enjoy being part of a pack in her foster home and would likely do the same in her forever home if there are other dogs. Although she has been reactive towards other dogs and animals while on a leash, she’s easily redirected, responds well to guidance, and is MUCH better about it.
Presley’s story is one of resilience and unwavering loyalty. She’s looking for a family who will love her unconditionally and provide her with the security she deserves. She would thrive in a home where she's the center of attention and maybe even has parents that work from home, spend a lot of time at home / with their dogs, or are retired (though not required). Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Pep's Pals Rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).
Our adoption fee is $325 plus health certificate and transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, microchip (additional $12.99 registration fee required at time of adoption), fecal analysis, spay/neuter, and a heartworm test. All dogs are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a health certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of transport.
