Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please visit leiashope.org for our adoption process.
Is there anything cuter than a tri colored cavalier puppy?!
Josephine is a tiny puppy that was born in a puppy mill and her future was producing more puppies like her until Leia's Hope intervened!
Josephine is a typical happy and playful puppy that loves to play and explore! She is a tiny girl and moves around a person's feet quickly and would not be ideal for a home with mobility problems.
Josephine likes to sleep on her back and snuggle with other pups. She is teething and likes to use those sharp teeth to gnaw on foster mom and other items. She will need appropriate teething toys and redirecting when trying to chew on inappropriate things, like your fingers!
Josephine is being treated for giardia, a common parasite found in puppy mills. She will finish her meds before adoption.
Josephine's adoption is $500. She is too young to be spayed and a spay contract will be required. Leia's Hope covers the spay if using our vet in Troy, Mo. She is current on age appropriate vaccines and subsequent vaccines are at the adopter's expense. She is microchipped. Visit leiashope.org for our adoption process.
PLEASE NOTE: We are a volunteer ran rescue with full time jobs. Please allow 7-10 days for application processing.
All of our dogs are in foster homes and a meet and greet is done ONLY after an approved application.
We do adopt out of the area. However, we do not ship or provide transportation. You must come to the location of the dog to meet and adopt. NO EXCEPTION. All family members and dogs must be present at the meet.
Dogs are a commitment for THEIR lifetime. For puppies this could be 15 years. If YOU cannot commit to the lifetime of the DOG, please do not apply. Puppies under 9 months must go to a home where there is someone home frequently (works from home or a partner is home), can adequately socialize and train the puppy, and can keep up with puppy energy!
