Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please visit leiashope.org for our adoption process.
Katherine is a sweet lady! She loves cuddle time and soaking up love in her person's lap.
Katherine is a playful puppy and enjoys the company of other dogs and playing with toys. She is our little toy hunter and likes to find all the toys and bring them back to her den!
Katherine was born in a puppy mill and missed out on the critical socialization period. She would like a home that will work on socializing her and helping her gain some confidence. She is currently being treated for giardia (a common parasite found in puppy mills), she will finish her meds before adoption.
Katherine's adoption is $500. She is too young to be spayed (we spay at 6 months) and a spay contract is required to adopt. We will pay for the spay if performed at our vet in Troy, MO. She is current on age appropriate vaccines, subsequent vaccines are at the expense of the adopter. She is microchipped. Visit leiashope.org for our adoption process.
PLEASE NOTE: We are a volunteer ran rescue with full time jobs. Please allow 7-10 days for application processing.
All of our dogs are in foster homes and a meet and greet is done ONLY after an approved application.
We do adopt out of the area. However, we do not ship or provide transportation. You must come to the location of the dog to meet and adopt. NO EXCEPTION. All family members and dogs must be present at the meet.
Dogs are a commitment for THEIR lifetime. For puppies this could be 15 years. If YOU cannot commit to the lifetime of the DOG, please do not apply. Puppies under 9 months must go to a home where there is someone home frequently (works from home or a partner is home), can adequately socialize and train the puppy, and can keep up with puppy energy!
