She is 8 years old and after combining my wife’s animals along with mine combined with recently moving to Lubbock she has started showing signs of high stress by refusing to use a litter box. We have taken all the steps of taking her to the vet to confirm she is healthy and there isn’t a medical condition causing this we tried different medications proscribed by the vet, changing kitty litter, moving the kitty litter box around, giving her own room in the house no other animal had access to and nothing has worked. As we are now in the process of starting a family we are out of options. She has always been a happy, loving cat who absolutely loves to be around people. With the merge of our families we believe that this is what has caused her to stop using the litter box. Causing the amount of stress she is under and unfortunately we are not able to give her what she needs to live a stress free life and want to do what is best for her and give her a quieter home where she can freely roam.
