Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**Note: Jack is available for adoption in Toronto. His flight from Korea to Toronto is scheduled for March 1.
Jack, a true survivor, was rescued from a precarious situation at a dog slaughterhouse in Ganghwa Island, Korea in February 2023. Raised for meat, Jack was one of many dogs waiting to be slaughtered. Since his rescue, Jack has been living with other dogs, enjoying outdoor playtime in a private shelter in Anseong, Korea.
From the beginning, Jack stood out for his gentle, laid-back nature. He's inquisitive and loves basking in the sun and playing with other dogs. But his favorite thing is to spend time with his humans. He loves tug games. Jack is still young and learning, and sometimes he shows possessiveness with toys. He's also a bit of a charmer, enthusiastically responding to his name and offering hugs and kisses to his favorite humans.
Jack is in good health, with a diet of Natural Balance feed. He has a mild allergy to duck meat and is sensitive to certain snack foods. Bath time is a breeze with Jack, as he patiently waits and stays still. He's well-behaved on walks, matching his guardian's pace. While Jack hasn't had many car rides, he's curious. At the same time, he gets nervous if a loud car passes by.
Jack interacts well with other dogs, showing good social skills. He's met children without showing aggression, though he tends to be more interested in their toys than the kids themselves.
Jack's ideal home would be one where he can continue to grow and learn. He's best suited for a family without cats and would thrive in a patient, loving environment that can continue his training and socialization. He would prefer a home in a quiet neighborhood over an apartment in a busy city. Someone with experience with large-breed dogs and who spends a lot of time at home would be ideal. Jack eagerly awaits a forever home where he can share his boundless love and playful spirit.
