This helps NYC Second Chance Rescue with pet care costs.
Meet Kris, one of the sweetest dogs we’ve ever met. Kris’s story began on Christmas Day, 2023 when he was found abandoned and tied to a fence in New York City. Our friend and fellow rescuer, Tony Pagano, rushed to help him, and soon after, we welcomed Kris into our care. Not long after, Kris began having seizures. He was diagnosed with Idiopathic Epilepsy—a condition where seizures occur without an identifiable cause. While it’s a lifelong condition, it’s manageable with medication, and Kris’s treatment plan has him thriving and living his best life. Kris has been brave, gentle, and so loving through it all. We absolutely adore him. He’s only 2 years old, weighs about 65 pounds, is fully housebroken, great on leash, and is an absolute lovebug. He’s met dogs of all sizes, and with proper intros and decompression, has done well with all. But he would be just as happy as the only pet, soaking up all the love you have to offer. His fosters have gone above and beyond to help prepare Kris for his future family and say, “He’s the best foster I’ve ever had. He’s super well-behaved and loves everyone.” If you find yourself falling in love with this wonderful dog and can offer him the love and care he deserves, apply to adopt Kris today.
All dogs will be altered, microchipped, and receive age-appropriate vaccines prior to adoption. Please note that the listed location for this dog may not be accurate due to technical limitations of this database and we have transportation options available within 6 hours of NYC (so don't let location hold you back)!
