Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hi there! I`m a fun-loving dog who lives for treats. Seriously, I can`t get enough of them! I also love to rumble around the yard with my favorite toys. I enjoy sightseeing and taking in the world around me. There’s nothing quite like relaxing in the grass on a sunny day. Because of my eagerness to grab a treat and my rowdy play style, I`d do best in a home with adults only. Obedience training would also treat me well to help curb my mouth behavior! I`ve been dog selective and would do best with slow introductions. We are unsure how I do around cats. I`m ready to chill out on the couch together or spend our day outdoors. Stop in to meet me today!

More about this shelter
WHO WE ARE
The Almost Home Humane Society (AHHS) (formerly the Tippecanoe County Humane Society) was founded in 1939 by a group of local animal lovers in Tippecanoe County. Since its beginning more than 60 years ago, the organization has been dedicated to improving the lives of animals in our community.
We are not a government agency, are not affiliated with any national organization, and we are not a United Way Agency. We are an open-admission shelter and we accept all animals in need, regardless of age, health or adoptability. As a local non-profit we exist through the generosity of our community.
MISSION STATEMENT
We, the Almost Home Humane Society (AHHS), care deeply about the comfort and rights of animals and citizens within our area. As such, we strive to enhance the relationship between people and animals through education, to control the pet population through responsible advocacy, and to provide sanctuary for unwanted, lost, and neglected animals.
NON-PROFIT STATUS
The Almost Home Humane Society (AHHS) is an independent, nonprofit agency. We are not funded by any governmental or national animal welfare organization. We are a private, non-profit 501(c) 3 organization dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals, relief of suffering among animals and the extension of humane education, and we are governed by a volunteer board of directors.
