My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, potential paw-rents! I’m Lolly, a spry 4-year-old pup weighing in at a snuggly 48 lbs. I’m a people person through and through; I haven’t met a stranger I didn’t like which makes me even more eager to meet YOU!

My brother Rocket and I were rescued from an apartment where we were found after being abandoned. We were quite emaciated from the ordeal (see my last picture on my 11th Hour Rescue profile). Since being rescued, though, we were brought back to a healthy weight. Rocket has already found his FURever home, but I’m still searching for my lifelong family. In the meantime, my foster paw-rents have given me a taste of the love I’m hoping to find forever.

I absolutely adore playing with my three foster pup brothers (proof is in my videos), but I’m also perfectly content as the only dog in the house if that’s what you have in mind. I’m a pro at house-training and crate-training—basically, I’m a super well-behaved lady! I know how to sit, lay down, and give both paws, and I’m pretty good with “wait” during meal times. Food is my ultimate motivator, so I’m eager to learn new tricks and commands quickly. On a leash, I do get a little too excited and pull, but I’m working on it and with a little patience, I promise I’ll be a fantastic walking buddy. When I’m not curled up on your lap, basking in all the affection you can give, I’m out in the yard, having a blast, or chewing on my favorite bone. Oh, and I’ve got a thing for my Lamb Chop—he’s my special buddy! I love cuddling and chilling, playing, or taking walks; really whatever you want to do where we can spend time together! When I'm excited, I make the silliest noises that will surely make you smile and laugh. I do deal with some allergy issues from time to time but they are well-maintained with a monthly medication. It doesn’t bother me; I’m still the same goofy, loving, and affectionate Lolly you’ll adore. Here’s a fun fact: I LOVE wearing sweaters. My winter wardrobe is off the charts because, even though I’ve packed on the pounds and am feeling great, I still can’t stand the cold. Sweaters are my go-to for cozy comfort!

My adoption fee is $415, and my rescue has already taken care of my spay, given me all the vaccines I'm supposed to have, and microchipped me for added security. So, if you’re looking for a loyal friend to brighten your days, look no further—I’m just a paw away! Apply to adopt LOLLY NJ at EHRdogs.org!

More about this rescue

Eleventh Hour Rescue, based in Morris County NJ, is a primarily volunteer run, no-kill rescue that saves animals on Death Row from high-kill shelters. Eleventh Hour Rescue dogs and cats are cared for by our compassionate and dedicated team of volunteers and staff. Whether in foster homes, our kennel or adoption centers, each dog and cat receives a clean and safe living environment, fresh food and water, medical attention, and most importantly an abundance of love and care until they find their FURever homes. We are dedicated to educating the community about the animal over-population problem and the importance of spaying and neutering. All funds go directly to supporting our animals and their needs. We are an eligible charity under federal code 501(c)3 founded in 2004.
