Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Introducing, with welcoming paws, Cedar! He and his three siblings were recently saved from the euthanasia list at a rural shelter and given nature-themed names because these hound-mix pups love to explore the great outdoors.
Cedar was a bit shy when he first arrived in his foster home, but the older dogs and cats in his foster home have brought out his playful side. He loves to play! He would do well in a home with cats or older dogs or both. While he can be super playful, he’s also a gentle soul who loves cuddles and belly rubs.
Cedar’s foster mom would love to see him go to a home with a fenced-in yard. She also would love for his new family to be as adventurous as he is and take him on daily walks and maybe some fun hikes on the weekends.
Cedar was one of the smaller pups from his litter. While we never know how big any dog will get, we’re guessing he’ll be in 40-60 pounds when full grown.
Cedar will need to be potty trained fully once he arrives in his new home. He has the natural tendency to go right away when he’s taken outside, but will need someone who can work with him on potty training and crate training. Speaking of crates, Cedar’s foster mom would like him to go to a home where he’s only crated for a few hours each day at the most. Cedar is a small pup and needs a home where his parents have the time and attention to devote to him.
