Meeeooow! I'm Smudge! I'm a petite and talkative young lady. I look like an older kitten but I'm actually closer to 3 years old. I came from the county shelter. I'm friendly and playful but sometimes like things on my terms. I don't like sharing my space with other cats. I would not do well with very small children.

You are welcome to come into our shelter to visit the cats during our regular business hours before or after turning in an application.

Animal Aid of Portland is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue and welfare organization, passionately serving animals and the people they love since 1969. It is our mission to enhance the welfare of companion animals through individualized care and lifelong commitment, rescue and adoption, resources and education, and community partnerships. We operate a free-roam shelter for cats; a foster program for dogs and cats; It Takes a Pack, a community-driven animal care supply sharing initiative; and the Animal Aid Cares Fund, a partnership with veterinarians, trainers, and behaviorists in Portland to provide financial assistance for urgent medical and behavioral care.
