My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Affectionate, Sweet, Friendly

Meet Shelly!

Check out those whiskers! Aren't they glorious? We think so! Also, we love her little black paws!

While Shelly may be initially cautious when she meets new people, she becomes very friendly once she is comfortable. Routine seems to be very important to her, as regular mealtimes and a schedule makes her feel more at ease. While she has a very sweet disposition, she isn't inclined to be picked up or on a lap - but she does prefer to be nearby. This lovey girl loves to rub her face on people and adores pets.

Currently, Shelly has three favorite toys - a tinsel-stuffed mouse, a fuzzy carrot, and a stuffed squirrel. She carries them around and bats them around during play. It's so cute to watch!

While in foster care, Shelly has done well with other cats. Her foster thinks she might do fine with older cats who can understand her boundaries and offer her pets. She's a sweetheart!

Someone who is looking for a relatively calm and sweet companion cat would love Shelly! She is not a loud or chatty cat (unless she is lonely or wants food), has great house manners, and loves pets. One adorable thing she does is that when she is lying on the floor, if you rub the back of her neck gently, she relaxes and almost goes to sleep. She adores neck rubs.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
