For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Phife is 8 years-old and I adopted him from the shelter when he was about 1. He weighs 75 pounds. He loves to go on walks, chew on his chew toys, and snuggle on the couch or in bed when he's allowed. He is quiet and not a barker, more of a groaner and sigher. He is not a destroyer of things and will keep his chewing to his toys. He is very affectionate with people and friendly to strangers. He is not jealous over his food and toys and is curious and playful with other dogs. However, he has a strong prey instinct and can't live with cats.. He plays well and could live with other dogs (1 or 2 medium/large friendly and playful dogs), but gets anxious in large groups of dogs in settings like dog parks or daycare. He needs rehoming due to not getting along with my fiancé's small Yorkie. He mostly likes to lounge around all day with short bursts of activity like playing or walking. He loves car rides. He is afraid of fireworks and loud noises. Call or text us and meet your new best friend!
