Here's what the humans have to say about me:
😍 **Meet Bonsai!** This lovable, two-year-old boy is back with us through no fault of his own. His previous family adored him, but Bonsai’s knack for escaping their yard proved too much to handle, so they brought him back to find a home better suited for his adventurous spirit.
Bonsai is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and ready to meet his forever family. He’s fantastic with kids and small dogs, but bigger dogs tend to make him a bit nervous. Cats remain a bit of a mystery to him, so he’ll need some patience there!
This smart pup is also an expert escape artist, so a securely fenced yard is a must, and he has a love for digging. Bonsai is potty trained but still working on perfecting his manners, and he has separation anxiety, so he needs a home where someone is often around to give him the love and comfort he craves.
If you're looking for a loyal companion who will shower you with affection and just needs a little guidance, Bonsai might be your perfect match! Call us at (775) 623-6403 to meet him today!

More about this shelter
We have a small, rural, government-run Animal Control facility dedicated solely to dogs. This entails accepting both owner surrenders and stray animals found on the streets. Our team consists of four dedicated individuals: two full-time Animal Control Officers, one part-time Kennel Tech, and one part-time Animal Care Assistant. We have limited office staff, and our presence in the office may be intermittent. For the most reliable communication, please reach out by phone. While we do not have a voicemail system, calls will be forwarded to our dispatch center where you can leave a message. Additionally, all transactions are by appointment only.
