My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Melani is a 3 year old Cockapoo who was surrendered to a central Florida Humane Society. She was 15 lbs and very skinny when she came into rescue but has gained a couple pounds. Melani is a Velcro dog and just wantes to be with her person! She has lots of energy, is playful and cuddly. She loves people and would be good with older children but maybe too much energy for younger children. Melani definitely needs a fenced yard to be able to run and expend some of her energy. She would be great with a family who is active and wants to include their dog in outside activities. She does great with other dogs and would love to have a fur sibling who would play with her. SOCKS adopts to families in Florida, Georgia, Southern Alabama and southeastern Mississippi. If you are out of the state of Florida you would need to travel to Florida to complete your adoption. Please note that we do check vet references and your current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, Heartworm testing and be able to provide proof of purchase of HW prevention. All dogs and cats in your home must be spayed or neutered. We will not set up a meet and greet until your application has been received, reviewed and approved. Adoptions are not done on a first come first served basis. We will accept applications and then screen all and choose the best match. Only approved applicants will be contacted.
